Location: Quayside, Newcastle-upon-Tyne, UK
Living in Newcastle, it's hard not to head down to the Quayside to take photos. Newcastle has seven bridges going over the River Tyne so there is always different angles to photograph the city. For the image however I decided to stay on the ground looking down the river towards the rising sun in the east. The Tyne Bridge is the main focal point of the photo, with its imposing presence over the river and the orange and blue sky behind signalling the dawn of a new day.
