Location: Holy Island, Berwick-upon-Tweed, UK

Dating back to 1550, Lindisfarne Castle is an iconic landmark of the North East coastline. Holy Island is joined to the mainland by a long causeway, accessible only at low tide.

My idea for this photograph was to use the cobbled path in the foreground as a way to lead your eye up to the castle. As the sun started to rise it gave this lovely orange hue on the horizon, giving the image a nice pop of colour.

This photo is printed on the latest Fuji Crystal Archive paper, Professional Lustre finish paper for more vivid colour, improved highlight detail and brilliant image quality. Lustre paper is a semi-gloss paper with vibrant colours.
