Location: Sycamore Gap, Northumberland, UK

Sycamore Gap, also known as Robin Hood Tree, is a lone sycamore tree positioned next to Hadrian's Wall between Milecastle 39 and Crag Lough. The alternative name came about as it features in Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves staring Kevin Costner and Morgan Freeman.

This was taken on a mild winter's afternoon in 2018 after a walk along Hadrian's Wall from Housesteads. The vivid blue sky with wispy clouds overhead gave the image great texture and details.
