Location: Bamburgh, Northumberland, UK
Bamburgh Castle has stood guard over the Northumberland coast for over 1,400 years. It is the third most popular attraction in Northumberland, bringing around 150,000 people every year to visit the castle and beach.
Bamburgh always provides fantastic photo opportunities but given it's immense popularity, it can make it difficult to find a composition that isn't flooded with visitors or other photographers. On this occasion however, I was fortunate to have the place to myself. I decided to stand in the sea as the tide came in, rushing past me towards the sandy shore. This allowed me to add some movement and texture that I really wanted with this image.
